11 cars stolen since Monday, six taken in one day

ELEVEN cars and a trailer have been stolen from outside homes in and around Logan in the past week.

Six of the vehicles were reported stolen yesterday alone, while a further two were taken this morning.

Police have released a list of the vehicles – including two luxury Audi sedans and a BMW SUV – with the hope that someone may spot one of them in the street.

Areas that have been hit include Logan Central, Logan Reserve, Woodridge, Rochedale South, Berrinba, Marsden, Kingston, Hillcrest, Daisy Hill, and Springwood.

Police said a number of the vehicles were stolen from homes while the owners were inside.

Thieves have also gained entry to a number of other homes and stolen house and car keys, mobile phones and cash that has been left out in plain view, police said.

The spike in thefts has prompted police to remind residents of the importance of securing their homes and vehicles and to hide their keys and valuables to avoid opportunistic thefts.

Anyone who spots a vehicle listed below is urged not to approach it but to call Triple Zero if a crime is in progress, or Policelink on 131 444.
