15,000 pills seized in Gold Coast drug raid

POLICE have seized almost 30 grams of cocaine and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of pills during a raid on a house at Upper Coomera.

The Gold Coast’s Rapid Action Patrol squad raided the Bluetail Crescent home about 7 am on Friday.

During a search of the property, police allegedly located and seized 28 grams of cocaine, 72 vials of steroids, 15,000 peptide pills, approximately $8,000 in cash.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with a lengthy list of offences, including seven counts of possessing dangerous and restricted drugs.

The man has also been charged with possessing utensils and suspected proceeds of a drug offence as well as failing to take reasonable care and precaution in respect to a syringe.

He is scheduled to front Southport Magistrates Court on November 9.
