A grim milestone for coronavirus deaths around the world, with over half a million people now passing away from the virus.
It comes as the number of cases worldwide tick over the 10 million mark, with Europe and the United States making up most of those.
The new death toll figure comes from John Hopkins University researchers, with a quarter of the deaths reported in the US alone.

Over 125,000 Americans have died as a result of the virus, with Brazil close behind with more than 57,000 deaths.
But researchers believe the true death toll is actually much higher, with many passing away without being tested early on.
While in Australia there’s only been 104 deaths.
