A 63-YEAR-OLD serial burglar who allegedly smashed into 14 homes across the southeast has been caught.
It’s alleged the New South Wales man targeted properties across the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Logan and Brisbane between June 2013 and September this year.
It’s alleged that over the course of his stealing spree, he stole fuel, electrical equipment, computers and vehicle registration plates.

Following a joint investigation between the Sunshine Coast CIB’s Property Crime Taskforce, the Logan CIB, the Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol group and Polair, detectives yesterday raided a Logan business where they seized a large amount of property and vehicles allegedly related to the offences.
The 63-year-old man’s since been charged with a range of offences including 20 counts of stealing, 14 counts of enter premises with intent, 9 counts of receiving tainted property and two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
