A $7 Aldi wine has won gold at the 2017 Great Australian Shiraz Challenge

Red wine lovers – here’s some news to cheers to!

An Aldi wine, which costs just $6.99, has received a gold medal at the 2017 Great Australian Shiraz Challenge.

Aldi’s The One Road South Australian Heathcote Shiraz 2016 beat out a bunch of other reds to score gold, including a Bird in Hand 2013 MAC Shiraz that costs $350.

This is the second time this year Aldi’s shiraz has won big – earlier this year it picked up Double Gold at the Melbourne International Wine competition.
