STEPHEN Collins, the US television actor who shot to fame in the hit TV series 7th Heaven has admitted to sexually abusing young girls.
In an interview Collins stated, “Forty years ago, I did something terribly wrong that I deeply regret,” Collins wrote, in an advance excerpt of an essay posted online by People magazine.
The revelation of the sexual abuse surfaced when secret recordings of a 2012 marriage therapy session were released.

In the recordings, Collins described sexual contact with three girls between the ages of 11 and 13 from 1973, 1982 and 1994.
Police have launched investigations into the incidents.
