A Love Your Sister market is popping up on the GC today

Aussie actor Samuel Johnson will be at The Big 4 Caravan Park in Helensvale today for a special Mobile Market Pop-Up.

The Dancing With The Stars 2019 winner is currently touring Australia in a caravan to raise funds for his charity Love Your Sister, and today will be selling Love Your Sister merchandise and chatting to locals between 11am and 2pm.

“I’m going around Australia again to do a lap of honour again for Connie and to be there when the ten millionth dollar lands,” he said in a Facebook video.

Speaking to 1029 Hot Tomato’s Flan, Emily Jade & Christo this morning, Sam said, “I’m on the road again for two years in search of this ten millionth dollar that I promised my sister I would raise for her seven years ago.

“We’re on $9.5 million….we’re so close. So I am literally out and about in search of that ten millionth dollar,” he said.

“The money will go towards the Connie Johnson Breast Cancer Lab at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, but also towards a push for personalised medicine for all cancer patients.

“We need to genetically map every cancer in every patient and put it into a big database and study that.”

When asked about his Dancing With The Stars trophy, Sam told the breakfast team that he has brought it and his Gold Logie on the road with him.

“I’ve been taking it around the country with me, it’s a trophy of the people. And, my Gold Logie, for anyone who wants to stroke them, or caress them, or hold them or grasp them,” he said.

“I’m meeting a lot of people out there who voted for me. So, if the trophy is there, it’s a really good payoff as thanks.

“Australians are such friendly people, so kind and generous and I can’t believe it. It’s been so good getting around and meeting everyone.”
