ALERT: Popular kids ice-cream recalled because of glass pieces

Food Standards Australia has issued a recall on Gary Gumball ice-cream, amid fears it could contain glass.

According to the website, the popular kids ice-creams have been pulled from sale due to the “potential presence of glass in the gumball supplied to Home Ice Cream.”

“Food products containing foreign matter (glass) may cause injury if consumed,” the recall notice reads.

The six pack box and individual frozen treats were available for sale through Home Ice Cream outlets and Impulse Freezers across all states and territories in Australia.

Customers are being urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
