An Italian man has been busted trying to import 300 grams of Heroin into Australia after 66 pellets filled with the illicit substance were found concealed inside his body.
The 49-year-old was selected for a full baggage examination after flying into Perth Airport from Thailand on September 6.
During the search, trace technology returned positive readings for narcotics from his suitcase and the man was referred to the Australian Federal Police for an internal examination.

According to police, the estimated street value of 300 grams of heroin is $135,000.
