Almost a dozen sheep found slaughtered in NSW

Investigations are underway after almost a dozen sheep were found killed near Wagga Wagga last week.

Police were called to Danswans Lane at Marinna and Pattersons Road in Harefield last Monday, after members of the public made the grim find.

Upon arrival, officers found the carcasses of 11 sheep which appear to have been slaughtered for meat.

Police say the ear tags had also been removed.

Investigations into the deaths of the sheep are now underway, with Rural Crime Investigators also called in to help

As inquiries continue, police are urging any witnesses or anyone with information to contact Wagga Wagga Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
