Public help police to locate young girls kidnapped from Ipswich

UPDATE: Two girls kidnapped from Raceview this morning have been located safe and well.

Information provided by members of the public led police to a recreational parkland at Springfield.

A 33-year-old man is now assisting police with their enquiries.

Police have thanked the media and the public for their assistance which helped them locate the children safely.

EARLIER: Queensland Police are seeking urgent public assistance to help locate two girls aged three and four, who were taken from Raceview in Ipswich around 9.40am and may be at significant risk.

A man, who is known to the girls, was seen putting them into a car.Car-1

The car is described as being a Silver Hyundai with Victorian registration 1DY3NX.

The 33-year-old man is from Townsville and is described as Caucasian in appearance, of a solid build and around 165cm tall with sandy hair and blue eyes.

The 3-year-old girl is described as Caucasian in appearance, of a fair complexion with sandy-blonde hair.

The 4-year-old girl is described as Caucasian in appearance, of a fair complexion with sandy-blonde hair.
