IF you head down to Currumbin beach this weekend, you might spot some colourful Koalas on the sand.
The Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation have installed two giant koalas on the beach as part of this year’s Swell Sculpture Festival.
Locals may recognise the colourful ‘koalakeet’ from last year’s Animals with Attitude Sculpture Trail, which was held to raise much needed funds for the hospital.

The second koala, known as ‘Little Digger’, is a brand new sculpture and is set to feature in the 2015 Animals with Attitude trail.
The Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation have announced next year’s trail will take place between March and May and will feature 30 giant koalas.
They are currently calling out to local, national and international artists to help design the new koalas.
Interested artists can fill out a form at the Hub at the Swell Sculpture Festival, or email Katie Guerin at email@example.com
