Another alleged member of ‘Mexican Hoon Cartel’ arrested on the Gold Coast

ANOTHER alleged member of a local hooning group, known as the Mexican Hoon Cartel, has been arrested on the Gold Coast.

The 21-year-old was taken into custody at his workplace on Reedy Creek Road in Burleigh Waters around 5.15pm on Tuesday.

Police say the man was arrested following an investigation into a traffic incident at Mudgeeraba on January 1 this year.

He’s been charged with one count each of improper use of emergency call service, unlawful stalking, wilfully making unnecessary noise or smoke and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The young man’s been released on strict police bail and is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on September 3.

It comes after four other alleged members of the hooning group were arrested and charged following raids by Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrols last week.
