From the streets of London to West End, Broadway and now Jupiters, the international stage phenomenon Stomp has tapped its way to the Coast.

The critically acclaimed and commercially successful stage show opened at the local casino on Thursday night, with an explosion of sound, movement and comedy.

Touring the globe almost continuously for 20 years the visual carnival that is Stomp has been seen by more than 20 million people in over 50 countries.

Eight high energy performers act as drummers, comedians and tap and rap dancers to create Stomp's magic blend of percussion, theatre, comedy and dance.

Performers clang and clatter household objects from drums to rubbish bin lids, brooms, mops, drumsticks, bottles and plastic bags.

Melbourne born Angus H Little is one of eight performers handpicked for the Gold Coast season.

Little, who has numerous performing credits to his name, first saw Stomp when he was 10.

Stomp will take centre stage at Jupiters Theatre for an exclusive 14 week season and will feature routines never seen in Australia before.
