On Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24, the Burleigh Arts Group will be holding the first of their 'Culturally Alive and Healthy' Creative Kidz programs.

Designed to bring local creative people together and showcase the great array of Gold Coast talent, this year's 'Culturally Alive and Healthy' will see an explosion of artistic exhibitions. It's also a time for kids to get involved and find their inner Picasso.

Saturday's 'Young Imagineers' art class will be held by Di Skelly Heron and will feature creative craft workshops, story telling, local school art exhibitions plus surfboard and local group workshops. The Lamplights will also be performing in the afternoon.

On Sunday, art and music will come alive with performances, belly dancing workshops and a 'draw a fish' competition.

Starting from 9am and running until 4pm at Kirra Hill, the art workshops are free.
