From talented musicians to side-splitting comedians, The Basement has your first weekend in November sorted.

Kicking the weekend off next Thursday is Melbourne's five piece Indie band, Skipping Girl Vinegar - comprising of brother-sister duo Mark and Sare Lang along with childhood friends Chris Helm, Amanthi Lynch and Kelly Lane.

The five-piece band won the iTunes single of the week for their debut track One Chance.

If it's a laugh you're after, make Friday night your night out as funny man Lindsay Webb mounts the stage with his wacky sense of humour in tow.

Lindsay has six Edinburgh Fringe Festival visits under his belt and a number of trans-Tasman comedy festival appearances.

If you're more of the cultural kind, Saturday night plays host to the amazingly talented Yemanja Quintet, who take the cultural collaboration of music to a whole new level.

Join Australian songbird Anita Fernandes and Brazilian classical guitarist Edson Gazani as the duo share their fun-loving mix of jazz, classical, gypsy, samba, bossa nova, folk, Mediterranean, European and Brazillian musical fusion.
