Nine year old Emily Park and 10-year old Bella Davie will take to the Gold Coast Convention Centre stage today and tomorrow, dancing in a special pre-show for Disney LIVE.

Both of the girls have been dancing since the age of two and say this will be the biggest performance of their careers to date.

“We have been preparing for about 4 weeks for the show,” said Bella.

“All of my friends are so excited to see me dance and some are jealous too.”

“I can’t wait to dance and perform for the people coming to watch the show,” said Emily.

“I love all of the Disney movies and my favourite characters are Minnie and Goofy.”

Along  with 18 other Ikin Dance students, the girls will perform in a custom created show, which will entertain the crowd before the Disney Live! Mickey’s Musical Festival show.

Gold Coast Titanettes coach and pre-show choreographer Megan McInally said she was asked two months ago to select 20 Ikin dancers to perform.

“We have selected our most energetic and entertaining dancers for the performance which will combine commercial jazz and cheerleading, with heaps of stunts thrown in,” said McInally.

“All of the younger kids will fly in the tricks too, so it should be a really good show.”

Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival will be at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on today and tomorrow before moving to Brisbane on January 9 and 10.
