Wiggles fans are divided, after the super popular foursome announced the return of Greg Page.

The original "Yellow Wiggle" had to hang up his skivvy five years ago when struck down by a debilitating illness, causing fainting and chronic fatigue.

The Australian explains, Greg was later diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance or dysautonomia which left him unable to perform, and walking with the aid of cane.

He was replaced by Sam Moran in November 2006, who has since danced and sung his way into the hearts of kids all over the world.

But today, the Wiggles have announced on their Facebook page, "Sam has graciously offered to step aside on hearing of Greg's ability to return to the group".

The statement continues: "We take this opportunity to welcome back Greg, but also to thank Sam for his wonderful contribution to the group. Sam joined at a difficult time for Greg and the group, and we’re so grateful for all he has done!"

Thousands of mums and dads rushed to post comments, with many calling for the group to expand to accommodate both Greg and Sam:

"That is fantastic news … I love Sam too so I am with all the others when they say we need a 5th Wiggle!! I think that would be the ultimate and honorable thing to do!! It would def make all the fans and the parents happy that's for sure!!"

"Congratulations on such a great job over the last few years Sam. My son absolutely adores you and I'm feeling quite sad that you are going! Can't there be 5 Wiggles? Maybe a green one?"

"5th Wiggle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I respect that Greg was the original yellow Wiggle but my daughter started with Sam and if you ask her to name the Wiggles then Sam would be the Yellow Wiggle."
