Tourism Queensland has welcomed a pitch to film a season of Jersey Shore on the Gold Coast.

Michael Sorrentino, otherwise known as The Situation, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro told E Online they wanted to shoot a season here because “all the girls are hot” and to “experience the culture”.

Ronnie also told Hollyscoop: “I hear that it's really big, the show over there, so I'd like to see the feedback we get.”

Ninemsn reported Tourism Queensland would need details from producers before agreeing to anything, but that the state had a range of activities that may suit the show.

A Spokeswoman for Tourism Queensland said the Jersey Shore cast would enjoy the Gold Coast’s "vibrant nightlife".

Jersey Shore premiered on MTV in 2009 and follows the lives of eight hard-partying housemates.
