More than more than 38,000 people rocked into Gold Coast Parklands for the Big Day Out festival yesterday.
Some of the Artists on offer were Kasabian, Nero, Noel Gallagher, Foster the People, My Chemical Romance and the newly reformed US rock gods Soundgarden.
Aussie acts including Hilltop Hoods and The Temper Trap also proved to be very popular with the Gold Coast audience.
However the 20th anniversary of the festival was not without controversy.
Kanye West took the Big Day Out stage 45 minutes late last night, with fans chanting “bulls---“ while they waited.
The US singer and rapper blamed the rain for the delay, with sound problems caused by the wet.
Headlining the festival, Kanye pulled the biggest crowd of the day with a similar theatrical performance seen at last year’s Splendour in the Grass.
