It’s a birthday celebration similar to one most Aussies would have, with Prince William steering clear of the pomp and ceremony of being a royal.

The second in line to the throne has turned 30 with an intimate dinner, shared with his wife and a few family and friends.

However, it’s believed William stands to inherit an estimated 10 million pounds ($15.7 million) on his birthday under the terms of the will of his late mother, Princess Diana, reports Access Hollywood.

He’s also spoken about his late mother in the lead up to the milestone. Admitting he’s saddened she’s not around to celebrate with him.
