The Coast’s senior ladies are set to swoon when award-winning singer Engelbert Humperdinck takes to the stage tonight.
The legendary singer (who is looking mighty fine for 76) sat down with the media today ahead of his sold-out concert at Jupiters Hotel & Casino.
“To get screams from the ladies is quite a compliment I think. It still goes on which is wonderful and I don’t have to pay them,” said Humperdink.
Those lucky enough to snap up tickets to tonight’s gig can expect a number of Humperdinck’s classic hits including Release Me, The Last Waltz, Love Will Set You Free, Quando, Quando, Quando as well as some new songs.
"I do put in new material but if I don’t bring my standard songs around I get complaints,” he said.
Humperdinck also spoke candidly about his career, stealing the The Beatles #1 spot with his first single Release Me, and his recent stint on Eurovision. He came second last.
“I didn’t come home a hero, but I wasn’t a zero,” he said laughing.
We would have voted if we could!
