Rescuers are currently at Cedar Creek Falls, Tamborine Mountain, after a man fell 50 metres down an embankment this afternoon.

The 40-year-old is believed to be suffering from a compound fracture to his ankle.

Firefighters are currently using technical rescue equipment to lift the man back to the walking track so that he can receive further treatment from paramedics and be transported to hospital.
