A horror night for a group of teenagers in Tugun after one of them was punched in the face and then struck with a metal bar.

The group of four youths were walking along Golden Four Dr at around three o'clock this morning when three men began threatening them with a knife.

The gang then stole the boy's shoes, some money and his mobile phone before taking off in a car.

The boy attacked is suffering from some bruising to the head and a swollen lip.

People are asking anyone who may have seen a small maroon car at the scene to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
