A teenager involved in a gang attack on a Surfside bus has walked away from court with a slap on the wrist.
Eighteen year old Murray Marshall pleaded guilty to smashing the bus with an iron bar in Burleigh Heads in June.
More than 40 youths swarmed the bus while passengers screamed in fear.
Marshall was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay $3970 to cover half the bus repair bill.
No conviction was recorded.
