Striker Maceo Rigters is set to return for Gold Coast United's clash with the Central Coast Mariners on Friday night.

Sidelined last week with an ankle injury, Rigters trained with the rest of the squad this week. If fit enough to start, he'll be supported by young guns Ben Halloran and James Brown against the ladder leaders.

The local A-League side's still sitting on the bottom of the table, with five points between them and second-last placed Newcastle.

But they'll have the home ground advantage, with the surface at Skilled Park in superb shape despite the recent deluge.

The game kicks off at 7pm QLD time.
