POLICE swooped on the Gold Coast suburb of Ashmore on Saturday night after a restaurant was robbed at knife-point.
It’s alleged two staff members were leaving the Cotlew Street restaurant to make deliveries when they were bailed up by a knife-wielding man demanding cash just after 8pm.
Police said the staff members complied, and the man fled the scene on foot with a pouch full of cash.

Officers initiated a large scale search for the man involving the dog squad and PolAir 1 but at midnight, he was still on the run.
He was last seen running through Ashmore Village park behind the shopping complex.
It comes after a pizza delivery driver was robbed at knife-point after being called to a fake Southport address on Friday night.
No one was physically harmed during either incident.
