THE Federal Sports Minister, Peter Dutton, will tour the redeveloped Gold Coast Aquatic Centre on Thursday.
He will get a glimpse of the freshly renovated facility with local MP Steven Ciobo, ahead of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships.
The Aquatic Centre is currently being prepared for the competition, with an extra 3,800 seats added.

Mr Dutton will also sit down with Gold Coast mining magnate Clive Palmer today in his role as Health Minister.
He is expected to try to talk Mr Palmer into supporting the $7 GP co-payment which is set to be introduced from July 2015.
Mr Dutton told the ABC his discussions with crossbenchers have been “fruitful”.
“I’m going to break bread with Mr Palmer tonight and I think like all of us Mr Palmer wants to see a Medicare system which is sustainable.”
There has been confusion since the proposed measure was announced in the May budget, with the number of people booking an appointment with a doctor dropping dramatically. Many thought the co-payment had already been introduced.
