Australia Fair launches Southport photography competition

AUSTRALIA Fair will launch an amateur local photography competition on Monday to celebrate 100 years of Southport.

To enter, residents simply need to capture a photo of Southport and upload it to the Australia Fair website where members of the community can then vote for their favourite – it’s that easy!

Everyone is encouraged to get involved, with $3000 worth of cool prizes from JB Hi-Fi up for grabs, including a Sony A7 camera and lens.

Photos can be taken with any camera or device and should capture a unique perspective of Southport.

Amateur photographers can submit their photos in one of either two categories, including ‘Elements of Design: Professional Photographers Choice’ and ‘Scenes of Southport: People’s Choice’.

The first category will focus on the ‘unique perspectives on the architecture and built environment of Southport’, while the second will look for spectacular shots capturing everyday life in the suburb.

The competition with kick off on Monday, August 13, with entries closing on Sunday, September 9.
