Australian Federal Police want to chat with The Bachelor’s Matt Agnew

Detective Matthew Agnew? It has a nice ring to it…

Bachelor Australia star Matt could soon be ditching his job in astrophysics and data analytics in favour of fighting crime.

The Australian Federal Police have put the surprising call out to the 32-year-old in a post on social media today.

“A message for @TheBachelorAU after last night’s ep. Matt – if the career in astrophysics/data analytics and finding eternal love doesn’t pan out, we’d be happy to help you with your detective skills. Register your interest to join the AFP anytime!” a tweet by the AFP said.

It comes after Matt released his inner detective on Wednesday night’s episode of The Bachelor Australia, after he was informed one of the girls had said nasty things about him.

During a date with Abbie, he was told that fellow bachelorette Monique had called him a “disrespectful pig” among other derogatory names.

In a bid to close the matter once and for all, Matt then sat Monique and Abbie down at the cocktail party to get to the bottom of the issue.

In a classic “he said, she said” situation, the conversation went around in circles, with Matt forcing the other Bachelorettes to weigh in to find out the truth.

It seems the AFP were impressed with our Bachie’s efforts, prompting them to reach out to him.

If you missed last night’s episode, you can watch Matt get his detective skills on in the footage below:

The Bachelor Australia continues at 7.30pm tonight on Channel Ten.
