Seqwater Chief Executive Officer Peter Dennis said Seqwater would work with the police to enforce responsible behaviour.

“As the weather warms up, many holiday makers and day trippers will spend time at the recreation areas at Seqwater’s dams,” Mr Dennis said.
“The September school holidays provide an ideal opportunity for families to visit or vacation at lakeside recreation areas.
“It is important that all members of the public take care, be aware and remain considerate of their fellow visitors.”
Senior Sergeant Warren Francis, Officer in Charge Water Police Brisbane, said police would be conducting patrols targeting anti-social behaviour.
“We are there to ensure the safety of all dam users,” he said.
“By acting responsibly and remembering not to drink and drive either a car or a boat you can help make these school holidays enjoyable for yourself and those around you.”
Hinze Dam recreation areas are open from 6am to 6pm, seven days a week.
