Tonight is the night everyone lets their hair down and dances the night away to welcome yet another new year.

To help prevent a hangover:

1. Line your stomach with a fulfilling meal

By consuming a large meal before a big night you are preventing alcohol from being absorbed into the stomach lining and bloodstream.

2. Have one glass of water for every drink of alcohol you have

By drinking a glass of water for every alcoholic drink you consume, it helps prevent dehydration which is a major cause of most hangover symptoms.

3. Don’t mix different types of alcohol

Stick with one type of alcohol, either beer, wine ect. By mixing drinks you are almost guaranteed to wake up to a deadly hangover.

4. Stay away from sugary mixed drinks

They may taste nice, but because they do you are more likely to drink twice as many without even realising.

5. Drink slowly

By taking your time between each drink you are helping to give your body enough time to recover. One drink per hour is recommended.

1. Greasy Breakfast

The best way to get rid of a hangover is to cook up a huge plate of bacon and eggs. Eggs are believed to help get rid of headaches.

2. Rehydrate with water, powerade, gatorade ect.

Hangovers are a sign that your body is extremely dehydrated. By drinking sports drinks that are full of electrolytes it helps relieve headaches, dizziness, and lightheadedness that are a result of a hangover.

3. Munch on toast or Crackers

These foods help to treat nausea and help your body soak up the alcohol in your system.

4. Sleep

Part of the reason you are feeling so tired and sick is because your body is sleep-deprived, sleeping off your hangover is often the best cure.
