Blackout hits almost 2000 homes and businesses on 70 streets

ENERGEX crews are investigating the cause of a blackout that has cut power to almost 2000 homes and businesses across Logan, north of the Gold Coast.

The outage hit around 1pm and has cut power to 1932 customers on more than 70 streets in Waterford, Waterford West, Loganlea, Logan Reserve and Buccan.

It is not yet known what triggered the blackout, or when the power will be switched back on.


Crews are out in the field, investigating the cause and working to restore services.
