For those of us counting the days till Melb Cup fear not, the local racing calendar has plenty of events not far away to satisfy the urge to get dressed up with the girls, hit the track with a glass of bubbly in hand and make sure by CUP day you are in your finest of fine forms. Saturday 24^th April in fact is the next date (less than 2 weeks away!) where you can join some of the coast’s most prominent fashionistas to share in a day of parades, pampering and bubbly…and check out their Autumn/Winter Fashion Launch.

The Gold Coast Turf Club is the place to be. The Designer Forum will be featuring in their parade, seriously one of the best designer boutiques on the coast (with the exception of Adrenalin...we must share the love).  Other stores/brands that will be featured in the parade include Igedo, Kitten D’Amour and well to find out the rest, best you be there!

Now before we head trackside, don’t forget the golden rules of racing:

1.    Don’t let your dress reveal all your assets.

2.    Less is not really more at the races.

3.    High high heels mean you sink further into the grass, so go easy on the height!

4.    Don’t forget your heel candy.  (A little piece of magic that stops you from sinking into the grass.)

5.    Grab a pair of fold up flats to throw in your handbag.

6.    Pace yourself, there is nothing elegant about being drunk at the races, seriously water, champers, water, champers, water, champers.  You will thank me Sunday morning – even if it is a long weekend!
