Boy, 15, killed in horror motorbike crash

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been killed and his mate seriously injured in a horror motorbike crash in the far southeast corner of New South Wales.

The boys were enjoying the afternoon riding their trail bikes through the mountains at Brogo, 30km north of Bega on Saturday when tragedy struck.

Police said the teens’ bikes collided on the Warrigal Fire Trail, off Hawks Head Road.

Sadly, one of the boys sustained life-threatening injuries and could not be saved. Police confirmed he died at the scene.

The second rider, also aged 15, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital.

He is believed to be in a serious condition.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the crash and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
