Boy leaves apology note with $5 attached after stealing from woman

A boy has left a heartbreaking apology letter after stealing a wind chime from a woman’s home.

The woman, who is from Tacoma in Washington, took to Facebook over the weekend, posting a photo of the handwritten note in the hope to track down the boy to give him another set of her chimes.

“I am sorry that we stole your Windchimes our mom died and like butterflies so my sister took it and put it by our window,” the boy wrote.

The letter also had a $5 note attached to it.

“I am sorry this is only money I have please do not be mad. Jake.”

The woman has now asked the boy to come around to her home to take back his money.

“Well Jake, I not sure who you are but you can come get your money back sweetie. I had 3 of those windchimes you can come back get your money back and have 1 also so both of you have your own. I am not mad please come over to my house.”

The post has since gone viral online.
