A SCHOOLBOY is recovering in hospital in the UK after being shot in the head.
The 11-year-old boy was on the sidelines of a football game when he was hit.
The Mirror reports Connor Minto thought thought he had been struck by a stone during the match but his father saw there was a .22 pellet lodged in his forehead, just above his left eye.

The pellet is believed to have come from an air rifle.
Minto was rushed to hospital to have the pellet removed.
Three 14-year-old boys have been arrested and an investigation in under way.
