Boys accused of bashing man in servo robbery

TWO boys have been charged after allegedly robbing a service station in Brisbane overnight.

Police said the pair, aged 15 and 17, targeted the Waterworks Road servo at Ashgrove around 11.30pm.

It’s alleged the boys strolled into the store and helped themselves to smokes behind the counter.

Police said the servo attendant tried to stop the teens, but was attacked and punched in the head.

The boys then ran out of the store and fled the scene but their time on the run was short lived.

The pair was caught by police, sitting in a car not far from the scene a short time later.

They were arrested and each issued with a notice to appear in court, charged with ‘robbery with violence’.
