Man seriously injured in ‘workplace incident’ at Helensvale

UPDATE @ 12.00 PM | A MAN has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after a workplace incident at Helensvale.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed the man, aged in his 20s, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with chest and spinal injuries after glass panels fell on him.

The accident happened at a private residence just after 9.15am this morning.

EARLIER @ 9.40 AM | A MAN is currently being treated for serious injuries following a workplace incident at Helensvale.

Emergency crews were called to a private residence just after 9.15am this morning, following reports a heavy object had fallen on a man.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed the high acuity response unit has been tasked to the scene.

The man is understood to have spinal and chest injuries.

His condition is currently unknown.
