Brother critical after DV shooting

A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting at a home northeast of Melbourne.

The 50-year-old was allegedly shot at a house on the Maroondah Highway in the small Victorian town of Buxton about 9.15pm on Tuesday.

It’s believed the man was arguing with a 49-year-old man, believed to be his brother, when he was shot.


The 50-year-old was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital where he remains today in a critical condition.

The younger man was arrested at the house and remains in police custody. No charges have been laid.
