VIDEO: Bulldog breaks world record on a skateboard

This may just be the best 55 seconds you’ve spent today.

Otto the British bulldog has become an online sensation after setting the dog world record for, wait for it…. travelling through a human tunnel on a skateboard! (Yes, we do have a record for this)

The three-year-old set the record on Wednesday by skating through a tunnel of 30 people standing with their legs apart.

The brilliant achievement, which took place in Peru’s capital, Lima, was caught on film and has since received thousands of views since being uploaded to YouTube.

Eddie looking for loving family

THE Animal Welfare League is hoping a family will visit their rehoming centre on the Gold Coast and adopt Eddie – a happy-go-lucky young dog who absolutely loves to play.

The 5 month 2 week old Basenji/Border Collie has a lot of energy and would love daily training and exercise to keep him stimulated.

He gets along well with other dogs and is very playful with them.

Eddie would prefer to go to a home with a second dog to keep him company.

Come and meet him at Animal Welfare League’s Rehoming Centre on the Gold Coast.

This chewing gum ingredient could kill your dog

Dog owners are being warned to keep sugarless gum products out of reach of their pets, after a sweetener used in some brands has been found to be deadly to dogs.

Tonia Cox’s dog, Murphy Jo, almost died after the labradoodle accidentally ingested about 20 pieces of sugarless gum. The US woman rushed the dog, who had began vomiting and was lethargic, to the vet and was shocked to learn her pet was suffering liver failure.

Luckily Murphy Jo survived, but many other dogs haven’t been so lucky.

Vets believe the sweetner Xylitol is the problem, and although it is safe for human consumption, it can cause severe low blood sugar, seizures and liver failure in dogs.

Sugar-free gum is the biggest culprit, but it is also used in some sugar-free candies, chewable vitamins, even some baked goods and peanut butter.
