Charges laid after wild police chase

A MAN has been charged with a range of offences following a dramatic police chase through Highland Park on Tuesday.

He’s accused of speeding through the school zone outside William Duncan State School around 3:20pm and failling to stop when police tried to pull him over.

It’s reported the man crashed into a fence on Glengarry Close before running off on foot, ditching his two female passengers.

He allegedly sped off through a neighbouring property in a bid to outrun police but was caught a short time later.

He’s now been charged with several offences, including drug and drink driving charges.

The two female passengers are also believed to have also been charged.

The man involved is due to face Southport Court on Wednesday.
