A CHILD has been rushed to hospital after almost drowning in a backyard pool on the Gold Coast.
Multiple ambulance crews, including critical care paramedics, were dispatched to a private residence in Burleigh Waters following reports of a near-drowning about 1.20pm.
Paramedics treated a primary school aged boy at the scene before transporting him to hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the boy was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
He was transported in a stable condition.
