Child suffers head, neck injuries in crash

A CHILD has been rushed to hospital with head and neck injuries following a nasty crash north of the Sunshine Coast.

It happened on Chapel Road at Nikenbah, near Hervey Bay, just before 2.30pm.

Queensland Ambulance said a “young female child” sustained suspected head and neck injuries in the accident.

She was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a serious condition.

It was not immediately clear how many other vehicles or people were involved in the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are not known.
