Four people, including a baby and child, have been hospitalised after a serious crash on the Pacific Motorway at Oxenford.

It’s believed a car skidded in the wet weather before crashing into a guard rail and colliding with a truck northbound at Exit 57 just after midnight.

Emergency crews, including paramedics, police and firies, rushed to the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed two adults, a child and baby were trapped in one of the vehicles and had to be extricated.

One female child suffered abdominal injuries and was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A woman in her 20’s sustained spinal injuries, while a man in his 30’s had lower leg injuries.

The pair were also hospitalised along with a baby boy, who were all transported in stable conditions.
