Children hit by truck after getting off bus

A four-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl have been hit by a truck after getting off a bus in Perth.

It’s understood the youngsters were crossing Dalbot Road in Swan View when they were struck just after 4.00pm on Tuesday.

“They crossed the road in front of the stationary bus. At the same time an Isuzu Truck was passing and collided with the two children,” Western Australia Police said in a statement.

The children were rushed to Midland Hospital for treatment.

The girl remains in Midland Hospital, however the young boy has since been transferred to the Perth Children’s Hospital.

The truck driver is assisting police with investigations.
