Spokesperson Lauren Ritchie says the train could be the best way to go.

“If you’re making your way home from the Brisbane CBD this afternoon, you should expect delays and consider leaving earlier or later to avoid being held up,” Ms Ritchie said.

“The city’s rail network will be a reliable way of getting home, as bus services which use Victoria Bridge could be impacted this afternoon,” Ms Ritchie said.

It’s understood the climate change protesters will also be staging a demonstration on the Go Between Bridge from 8.00am.

“The advice is to be aware of the activity and avoid the area during in peak hour,” Ms Ritchie said.
