Commonwealth Bank is “working hard” to fix an issue affecting some Visa credit cards and payments in NetBank and the CommBank app.
Customers reported experiencing issues transferring money early Monday morning, with the bank posting a short statement confirming the nationwide tech glitch shortly before 7.30am.
“Morning everyone. We’re aware of an issue affecting some Visa card transactions and some payments in NetBank and CommBank app,” Commbank wrote.

“We’re working to fix as a priority and we apologise for any inconvenience first thing on a Monday.”
MasterCard and CBA cards are not affected, the bank confirmed.
UPDATE: 10:32am. Working hard to fix issue that lies with some Visa credit cards and some payments in NetBank / CommBank app. MasterCard and CBA cards are ok. CBA merchant terminals accepting alternate forms of payments including non-Visa debit or credit cards.
