Swimmers lead the charge

It has been another successful night for Australia at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with our swimmers leading the charge.

Thomas Fraser Holmes won gold in the men’s 200 metre freestyle before backing up to win silver in the 400 individual medley.

Leiston Pickett stormed home to win the women’s 50 metre breast stroke.

Maddison Elliott won gold in world record time in the 100 metre para-S8 final.

The men’s 4 by 100 relay final coming up shortly.

It’s also been another successful night for our cyclists with a gold, three silver and a bronze.

Jack Bobridge backed up his 4000 metre team pursuit gold from yesterday with victory in the individual event, beating teammate Alex Edmondson.

Australia also picked up Gold at the shooting range with with Laura Coles winning the women’s skeet.
