This year, organisers say there are more car clubs participating in the festival than ever before, with more than 500 cars set to be on display in the iconic Coolangatta location.
CEO of Connecting Southern Gold Coast, Peter Doggett says that what is in store for 2019 is incredibly exciting.
“We listen to our festival goers and are proud that this year we can deliver the best jam-packed celebration of cars and culture to date,” he said.
“The extension in the 70’s only adds to our audience’s experience, and what we are assembling will certainly makes us a not-to-be missed festival.”
Mr Doggett says the “incredible beachside location” is what makes Cooly Rocks On so special.
“In 2018, Cooly Rocks On generated more than $6 million for the local economy, luring more than 110,000 people and generating over 34,000 visitor nights which was a major boost for the local tourism industry,” he said.
The completely FREE event is set to take over Coolangatta-Tweed from June 5 to 9, 2019.
